Committees of a downtown Main Street program are typically made up of five to seven people.
They meet at least once a month to plan and prepare activities.
These activities usually create additional demands for time and volunteers.
Each member expects the full participation of every member.
As a group they expect to make Downtown Sumner even better than it is now.

Each committee member
Always presents the organization positively to the public.
Commits to at least one year of service and monthly committee meetings.
Works 3 to 5 hours per month outside of committee meetings.
Attends all training sessions to learn about the Main Street Approach®
Prepares in advance for meetings.
Cooperatively helps to draft an Action Plan & Timeline
