Defect in cancer immune surveillance in transplant patients. Both immunosuppressive drugs and an increase in tumor-driven Tregs (i.e., migration and expansion of naturally occurring Tregs (nTregs) or conversion and expansion of induced Tregs (iTregs)) contribute to impair immune responses against cancer in transplant patients.
