Presentation skills and
creating a great pitch
3
Your two tasks: Task 1: Creating and delivering an elevator pitch. This is where you make a persuasive presentation to sell an idea or a product. It is called an elevator pitch because it should last as long as a ride in an elevator or lift. Task 2: Use the feedback from Task 1 to improve your presentation. Your new presentation will be used to ‘sell’ your idea to the judges.

Task 1 : Your Elevator Pitch
Create a 60 second ‘elevator pitch’ and sell your idea to the other teams. Your pitch should clearly outline your Circular Economy business idea. The other teams will provide you with advice to take your idea to the next stage.
5
Remember: Your idea should be for a Circular Economy product or service Your idea must have a Unique Selling Point (USP) . It should solve a problem. Your idea must be clearly outlined to the other teams so they can advise you.

Tips for feedback and evaluation
How creative was the product or service? Did the team have a clear USP? Did every team member participate? How well did they work as a team? What went well in the presentation? What would they do differently if they had the chance? What skills did they develop?

Task 2 : Create your presentation
Use the feedback. Create a 3-5 minute presentation. Ensure all team members have a role that suits and develops their skills. Your presentation will clearly describe the business idea (product or service), your target market (customers), and how you will advertise . Your business requires a name and your product or service requires a name, logo and slogan
