2. Founders Public Service Language Centre was established in 1994 by a number of international organisations (UNDP, British Council, Soros Foundation) and the Latvian government currently represented by the Ministry of Education and Science. The initial goal to provide the foreign language tuition to civil servants, MPs and other officils has been enlarged encompassing business people, media people and other professional people for whom specific programmes have been designed and accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science.
