Conclusion Effective photocontrol of peptide conformation in aqueous environment using visible wavelengths, slow thermal relaxation, efficiency in photoswiching etc make the present rhodopsin like photoswitch an attractive candidate for peptide and protein photocontrol, that can have application in wide variety of targets.
