1 Recreational Interests Survey (RIS)
RIS designed to understand interests of AF community invitation send by AF Survey Office (SCN AF14-134SVKS) Commences 19 June 14 Will help drive programs based on Airman interests DOD MWR Satisfaction Survey also being released to select Airman in the near future Assess customer satisfaction with MWR program offerings Please emphasize participation in both surveys Both surveys provide valuable information Participation is critical AF members randomly selected to receive an invitation If they get it…they should take it! Contact information: The Services Directorate of the Air Force Personnel Center is conducting an important study to understand what the Air Force community enjoys doing during off-duty time. The results will help prioritize recreational activities offered by installations and help drive future program efforts. The survey is anonymous and is being managed by the Marketing Strategy and Research Branch (AFPC/SVKS). It should take about 10 minutes of your time, depending on the recreational activities you’re involved with and interested in. Please be candid in your responses so we can take the actions to best support you and other members of our Air Force community. This survey is different than the DoD MWR Satisfaction Survey but a few customers may receive both s based on the random sample selection process. The DoD Survey was to be fielded in May but is experiencing some delays due to firewall issues. In order to meet program budget/planning cycles the Recreational Interests Survey (RIS) will move forward without waiting for the DoD MWR Satisfaction Survey to be finalized since the later send dates are unknown at this time. FSS Leadership should be able to explain differences of the DOD MWR Satisfaction Study; where current customers are asked for their opinion on how well the installation MWR programs are doing in meeting their needs. It provides feedback on the level of satisfaction on such variables as the quality of programs, hours of operations and cleanliness of the facilities. The Recreational Interest Study asks “What do you do in your leisure time (either on-or-off-base.) It is designed to understand market desire and level of interest of a wide variety of activities, regardless of whether they are offered by FSS. Additional questions about the survey, may be addressed to AFPC/SVKS
