Repeated Measures Designs
Each Subject/Unit receives each Treatment – Randomized Block Design Measurements within subjects are correlated due to random subject effects Can be used to get more precise treatment effects when subject-to-subject variability is large Can have problems with carryover or learning when subject repeats same task under different treatments/Conditions Subjects/Units are assigned to only one Treatment and Observed at Multiple Points in Time – Completely Randomized Design Can Estimate Time Effects and Treatment/Time Interactions Growth Curves – Individual Subjects observed over time and growth within Subjects Modeled with a Linear or Nonlinear Regression Model
