Figure 2 Pooled estimate of post-imaging colorectal cancer rate
(A) Number of post-imaging colorectal cancers per 100 cancers detected. Two studies34,35 that used negative initial CT colonographies as inclusion criteria were excluded, because the number of detected cancers in these cases was zero. (B) Number of post-imaging colorectal cancer per 1000 CT colonographies. One study39 that reported only the number of cancers and not the number of negative CT colonographies was excluded. (C) Incidence of post-imaging colorectal cancer per 1000 person-years of follow-up. A study39 reporting only the number of cancers detected, rather than the number of negative CT colonographies, was excluded. Analysis was restricted to studies with a mean of 5 years of follow-up, presented as the pooled post-imaging colorectal cancer estimate per 1000 CT colonographies. The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology 2018 3, DOI: ( /S (18) ) Copyright © 2018 Elsevier Ltd Terms and Conditions
