Tuesday, September 25th HW: French Revolution Timeline due Friday!
Aim: How did the Third Estate launch a revolution? Do Now: How would you define an unjust government? What if anything would cause you to take part in a violent revolution?

Estates General (meeting) May 1789
Assembly of representatives from all 3 estates. Called by Louis XVI in order to impose taxes on the nobility. Each estate had 1 vote.

National Assembly June 1789
French congress established by representatives of the Third Estate to enact laws and reforms in the name of the French people. First act of REVOLUTION
