Loyalists Immigration Problems
The best land was taken in many areas Government jobs & business opportunities were often limited New language, laws, & customs (French in Quebec) Cold winters, poor food, famine (Upper Canada)

Loyalists Impact English-speaking people introduced British culture to the country New colonies were formed where loyalists could enjoy familiar laws & customs (Upper Canada & New Brunswick) They reaffirmed the colony’s British connection Economic development (farmers, merchants, trades-people) New towns emerged & new areas developed (Kingston, Fredericton)
