Remove a sheet of paper from your notebook. Tear it in half horizontally (from side to side). Write your name on the top left. Write the date (10/30/18) on the top right. Skipping spaces, write numbers 1 – 5 on the left side. Sit quietly

Listen to the questions and write the answers on your half sheet of paper.

Why write with quote sandwiches? Don’t forget to cite the author’s name and page number at the end: (Steinbeck 12). Remember, the period goes after the parentheses.

Write a “quote sandwich” to give details about the personality and/or behavior of George and/or Lennie. After, share it with the class. Be sure to use air quotes.
