Learning intentions This is a baseline lesson to help me find out what you know about F.I.P. Recap FIP examples and show knowledge on different types of data collection and why we use it. Work in groups to highlight methods of data collection and pros and cons of at least 2 examples. Complete 1.1 and 1.2 of your booklet on your own.

Method- Fitness test ( name it) Pros: practicality; its easy to set up and understand, not much equipment needed, can use as a comparison tool; can compare individual scores start/end to see if any improvements have been made, use as a valid measurement to compare against class or national averages. Cons: must be repeated under the same conditions to get a true reflection of scores. Relevant to the performer, the activity and weakness Accurate to provide a true reflection Valid measures what it aims to measure Reliable capable of consistent conditions and repetition at a later date Objective non-bias, produce a consistent result irrespective of the tester Measurable to allow for comparison at a later date Practicality easy/simple to carry out and easy to interpret, opponent(s) of similar ability and completed for a substantial period of time
