2 Fig 1 Neurogenic muscle hypertrophy after stretch palsy of the left spinal accessory nerve. (A) There is focal enlargement of the upper fibers of trapezius and slight prominence of the medial scapular border, in addition to shoulder depression, abduction, and protraction. (B) These changes lead to deepening of the supraclavicular fossa. (C) The trapezius hypertrophy is accentuated with abduction.
