use the Internet to locate information about the Klondike Gold Rush.
research literary works by Jack London and use them to supplement the anchor text.
apply my research of Jack London to better understand why and how he wrote.

3. Task The following steps will enable you to set off on an Alaskan adventure. Click through the steps to view the pre-selected videos and complete the associated tasks. Then, answer the questions on your task sheet provided.

6. Go to the following website address to access a map of the Yukon trails. You will need to (1) identify and label the boundaries of the United States and Canada in black ink, (2) locate and label Seattle, Washington; Skagway, Alaska; and Dawson, Yukon Territory (the town closest to the gold fields) in green ink, (3) trace the "rich man's route" (blue ink) to the Klondike region from Seattle and then the "poor- man's route" (red ink), then answer the corresponding questions on your handout.
