Summer Conference Required
Using technology to capture the essence and professional development of summer conference for those who miss the opportunity and training. (Personal issues beyond their control, local school district forcing local professional development and other excuses).

Community college Partner Present to author the Alignment and Articulation agreements (especially for 2012) (Gardner)

Element 1 – Standards & Content (Feb 14)
Courses & Standards – Crosswalk Template Required Documentation LOCAL - Cross-walk between courses and standards at secondary and postsecondary levels Required Courses – Identified for Technical Skill Assessment how to define and which ones STATEWIDE – Community college crosswalk complete.

Element 2 - Alignment & Articulation – (Feb 28)
Evidence of collaboration between the community college and secondary school. Required Documentation STATEWIDE - Documents that show collaboration between secondary and postsecondary (e.g., agendas, participant lists, or signed articulation agreements.). LOCAL - CTE POS “road map” showing links between secondary and postsecondary components. The “road map” should be useful for students to understand connections. {diagram, chart of courses through college or to employment}

Required Documentation STATEWIDE - Could be the SAE / Proficiency Development Guide Ag Career Network ACN Proficiency / State Degree Pages Local – Program Road Map

Element 3 - Technical Skill Assessment (April 17)
Required Documentation STATEWIDE - Identification of a specific technical skill assessment Data requirement no later than LOCAL - Completed program data charts (Regional Coordinators). Other data used and explanation of how and why it was used. Equivalent data should include references to academic and technical performance as well as completion of education and transition to next steps. LOCAL - Plan to address student needs based on data. This can be included in the questions provided or an equivalent narrative.

Element 5 - Professional Development (May 22)
Required Documentation LOCAL - Relevant plan for professional development based on the needs for successful implementation of the Statewide Program of Study STATEWIDE - Examples of regional and local professional development planning documents that have a direct relationship to the POS.

Certification of Assurance / Signatures (June 19 - 22)
