2 Fig 1 Motor recovery in 40 patients with ischemic stroke. Recovery was significantly higher in patients with prolonged muscular flaccidity than in patients with muscular spasticity admitted to rehabilitation within 3 months of stroke. Recovery was less frequent in the next 2-month period, but a statistically significant higher number of prolonged muscular flaccidity patients still recovered later.
