4 If we keep today’s technology (2015), road transport CO2 will be ~4x greater than the 2050 requirement due to the increased demand There is a need to significantly reduce transportation CO2 whilst demand is forecast to increase To reach the overall European CO2 targets for transport, a system approach is needed

Ensure privacy and security ERTRAC: Clusters for data of connected & automated vehicles Connected or automated vehicles generate or need electronic data. In a first draft these data can be classified into 4 categories: SECURITY: Secured interface with vehicle  Access only through backend solutions (responsible for safety/security of vehicle) “Complete Public Data” like emergency warnings  to be shared at once with everybody 2. “Anonymised Data” which are of public or multi-brand interest e.g. for traffic prediction  to be shared in anonymised format based on agreements 3. “Released Data” which are primarily private/commercial but the driver or/and the vehicle owner/fleet provider has agreed the data sharing 4. “Strictly Private Data” with no permission of the driver or/and the vehicle owner/fleet provider to be shared 28/02/2019
