Fish Facts Fish have backbones. They are vertebrates.
Fish have two nostrils to smell their environment. Fish have a mouth with several rows of teeth to grasp their prey. Fish have fins to help them swim. Fish have scales to help provide protection.

Fish Facts Fish have two eyes, but they do not have eyelids. They cannot blink their eyes. Some fish have pretend eyes! Do you know why?

Fish Facts Fish breathe through gills. They do not have lungs.
People have lungs. We cannot breathe underwater!
