5 CTB - JDE Journey Went live on JDE World Software in 1998 with upgrades to A7.3, A9.3 in 2013 and A9.4 in December Beginning development on a migration roadmap to E1. Currently we have 9 domestic locations on JDE Monthly consolidated financial reporting also includes 7 foreign entities We use several third party software packages with JDE.

6 Migration Strategy Global Financial Reporting is required
Foreign Currency would be implemented Data archiving would be done prior to conversion Analyze all third party software for compatibility to E1 Migration of existing reports to E1 format

7 Migration Strategy – Reporting Focus
The search for a new reporting system begin in 2015. Showcase Report Writer & Query had been used since 1998 but no longer met the requirements. IT resources for creating new reports were very limited. Showcase was not ‘user-friendly’, was not easily compatible with new operating systems, had limited scheduling capabilities and existing reports would not convert over to E1 during migration.

8 The Path to ReportsNow - Requirements
Must be ‘user-friendly’. We needed a product that allowed users to write their own queries and reports without waiting on IT resources. Must be able to schedule and burst reports. Availability of user training. Cost competitive. Must be able to migrate to E1 in the future.

9 ReportsNow Successes - Before and After
IT staff of 3 created 90% of all reports. 192 different reports running multiple times per week. Limited internal training available. No migration path to E1 38 ‘designers’ in DAS writing reports. Replaced by two automated reports with bursting. ReportsNow Academy available 24-7. Migration path to E1
