Under basal condition, both GluA1/2 and GluA2/3 receptor types contribute to synaptic transmission. Upon LTP induction, the activation of cAMP/Epac signaling leads to increased single-channel conductance of GluA3-containing receptors, thereby enhancing synaptic transmission.
