Cells for this experiment were first-passage cells and were seeded at an initial density of 30,000 cells per well. Data are shown as the mean ± SD (n = six wells per day). A statistically significant increase of PGI2 is seen on day 5, with venous ECs secreting more PGI2 per cell than do arterial ECs.
