A Note from the Teacher…
Homework: Please practice rounding to the nearest 10’s and 100’s with your child. Additionally, remember to practice multiplication facts nightly. Spelling lists come home on Friday nights and again on Tuesday.

Power School: You can keep up to date with your child’s grades. If you have internet access, you can review your child’s grades in Power School. Call the office for your log in and password. I normally update grades on Sunday and Monday evenings.
Yearbooks: Yearbooks are on sale now- They cost $35 until the end of the first semester. After that they are $45.
Snacks: Please send enough snacks for 26 students once per month.

OUR LEARNING GOALS
Reading: Story: “The Trial of Cardigan Jones” Genre: Fantasy
Our target skills this week will be the author’s word choice and making conclusions.  
Language Arts: We will learn about the different types of sentences.
Math: We will add large numbers with regrouping. We will continue to practice rounding.
Social Studies: We will continue to learn about the regions of the United States.
