2 The Flightless Cormorant and Galapagos penguin are two such species.
© Trevor Platt For some species, the need for a conservation strategy is vital in order to save the population from becoming critically low, or even extinct. The Flightless Cormorant and Galapagos penguin are two such species. Read the following 2 slides and with a learning partner think about the main threats and challenges you think these birds face. You may want to consider where they live, the food sources they rely on and how both environmental and human influences may pose a threat to their survival. Jot your ideas down ready to share them with the rest of your class. A RESOURCE BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE GALAPAGOS CONSERVATION TRUST (REGISTERED CHARITY NO ) GALAPAGOSCONSERVATION.ORG.UK
