2 The bottom set is for students who don’t need the visual cue.
Instructions On the first page of cards, there are two English language sets. The top set is for students who need a visual cue (the cupcakes) to count. The bottom set is for students who don’t need the visual cue. In between the two sets are blank cards. You could use them to make additional sets for whichever math level you need most.

3 Instructions Mystery Card
Cut as one piece. Fold along this line. Oh no! Luke can not Come to the party! Mystery Card Open this card Last. Glue sides together On the second page of cards there is one English language set. This is the set for the highest skill level. The row with the upside down card should be cut out in one piece with the Mystery Card. Fold along the dotted line between the Mystery Card and the upside card to make one long two-sided card which can be folded in the middle and glued to form the Mystery Card. You might choose to add a Velcro™ dot to keep the card closed.

4 Instructions The last two pages are for you to use to make task cards in your students’ target language. If you have the PowerPoint version of this set, which was provided only to those teachers who attended the conference session where this card set was distributed, you can add text of your own by clicking on “Insert” in the PowerPoint tool bar, and selecting “text box”. Then click where you want the text box and drag it to resize it. The clip art children are copyrighted. I have used them according to the terms of use of the license provided by the artist. You will not be able to copy or move them.
