2. Background
In February 2017, COM officially handed over to ECHA the coordination of MSs' enforcement and control activities on biocidal products
ECHA established a new body under the Forum for Exchange of Information on Enforcement: Forum BPR Subgroup (BPRS)
The previous BPR Enforcement Group (BEG) no longer exists
All the BPRS members have been appointed via the Permanent Representations
The ECHA Forum Secretariat organized the first meeting of the BPRS at ECHA on 31 March 2017 (BPRS-1)

3. BPRS-1 key results (1)
Election of the BPRS Chair: Eugen ANWANDER (AT) & Vice Chair: Dominik PISAREK (PL)
Firm commitment to seek synergies and work in close coordination with the Forum for REACH, CLP and PIC – in particular work on common activities & joint outputs
Join the Forum WG REACH-EN-FORCE-6 to implement an enforcement project focused on the ‘Classification and Labelling of biocidal products’
Set the subject for the new BPR enforcement project via a newly established Working Group (WG) on ‘Prioritization of the BPR enforcement projects’

4. BPRS-1 key results (2)
Join the Forum Task Force on ‘Best Practice Documents’ to develop the BPR Essential requirements for enforcement
Take over the Forum WG ‘Implementation of Portal Dashboard for biocides’ allowing inspectors access to data submitted to ECHA
Set the BPRS priorities by revising the Forum Multiannual Work Programme to include BPRS priorities
Revise the Forum
Rules of Procedure

5. Next steps Next BPRS meeting will take place on 22 June 2017

Report in accordance with Article 65(3) of the BPR
