Compilation of Producer Price Indices (PPI-M), on quarterly basis, since 2005
Small Scale and Cottage/Handicraft Industries Survey, every five years

We need to bridge the data gap on the key sectors of the economy, e.g. construction, services..
We need to train our staff in ways of writing an in-depth analytical report on the surveys carried out by the department, and we need to retain experienced staff through attractive remuneration as Uganda does
A forum for a dialog between CSA and the manufacturing establishments needs to be established to minimize non-response
Every effort needs to be exerted to create a robust business register system
