1 Outlining and Word Generation

2 Bellwork Every day you come to me, you will have bellwork to complete. You will have 5-10 minutes to complete the assignment. Turn to the first clean page in your notebooks. Title it “Writing” with today’s date. On the first line, write “Bellwork-” and the prompt. Then, with FIVE (5) complete sentences, answer the prompt. Today’s prompt: What would happen if you grew taller than trees? How would this change your life? Once you have completed your paragraph, SILENTLY read a book.

3 Word Gen Outline Start by reading the question you are about to answer- “Dating Violence: When should the police be called?” Reflect on exactly what the prompt is asking and wants you to answer. Read through Word Generation. Make sure to annotate correctly so that you may reference the things you marked to use in your essay. Write down the outline format. Fill in your main idea, bing, bang, and bongo statements (complete sentences). Fill in the remaining blanks (examples).
