As mentioned last week, Athens was a little over 50 miles away from Corinth Philosophical influence was tremendous Athens was seen as the epitome of what man could become Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle had all already lived and died ( BC)

3 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 How has God destroyed the wisdom of the world? How has it been frustrated by God through the gospel? “Jews ask for a sign; Greeks search for wisdom” – To what end? What are the signs and wisdom supposed to do? Does this passage directly apply to us today? How do we use this principle in our Christian walk?
