A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to direct instruction at students’ reading levels.
-In Math we are taking a look at data. Students will learn how to organize data into a graph and how to then use a graph to answer questions.
-Writing time this week will be wrapping up our unit on Narrative Writing. Students will create their final narrative writing piece on a fun time that they had. Students will be sure to include a beginning, middle, and end. Also feeling to tell the reader how they felt.
-Our Core Knowledge time will switch back to Science with an introduction to Electricity. We will look at static electricity, conductors and insulators, closed and parallel circuits, and electric safety.
Homework Ideas
-Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays - reading homework
-Tuesdays and Thursdays - math homework

Extra News
-The 100th day of school is coming!!!!! It will be next Thursday, February 8th! We will be celebrating throughout the day! Each child is encouraged to wear something that has 100 things on it, bring a collection of 100 of something, or dress like you are 100 years old It will be such a fun day!!!!!
