“To increase the resilience, emotional and mental health of pediatric patients with chronic conditions and their families.” The premise is that subspecialists can do more to identify children/teens with these challenges and “provide empathy, intervention and resources for those identified at risk or struggling.”

Initial Milestones began 2013 with the intention to reassess within 5 years Eliciting volunteers from each subspecialty to review existing Milestones, assess utility and determine if revisions would be useful To be implemented by 2020
