Gay-Lussac’s Law Compares pressure to temperature
If pressure increases, collisions of particles increase. If collisions of particles increases, temperature increases

Example An aerosol can containing gas at 101 kPa and 22o C is heated to 55o C. Calculate the pressure in the heated can.

T1 = 25o C = 295 K T2 = 55o C = 328 K

101 kPa / 295 K = P2 / 328 K = (101 kPa)(328K) / 295 K = 112 kPa
