Caricatures Copy down the following definitions:
Individual: The qualities, traits, abilities or features that distinguish a specific person Caricature: A drawing that distorts and exaggerates someone’s physical/behavioural features for humorous effect, often with intent to ridicule

Caricatures abound in popular culture and it is important to acknowledge that they can be very funny.

You need to think about the audience for a caricature:
Is the caricature being used by someone in power against a person or group lacking in power (such as the Nazis against the Jewish people)? Are there damaging consequences associated with the use of this caricature? What is its history? The following are examples of reasonably harmless caricatures. Do you know who they are?
