3. [Find Vehicle] Transport Register
To find Vehicles already added to Vault, we need to search the Transport Register
This can be found under Assets in the Menu Bar
‘Transport Register’

4. [Find Vehicle] Browsing the Register
The Transport Register in Vault displays key, summary information for all recorded company and contractor company vehicles
The register is split across vehicles held by your Organisation, and those held by Contractor Companies. Click the Company Transport Register or Contractor Transport Register buttons to switch between the two
Dates highlighted in red represent exceeded expiries, while dates highlighted in yellow represent expiries within the next month.

5. [Find Vehicle] Browsing the Register (Cont)
We can browse the register by scrolling through the table and using the page controls at the bottom of the screen
The number of entries shown on one screen can be altered to suit your preference by making adjustments in the Filters Sidebar

6. [Find Vehicle] Sorting the Register
To sort the order of the register to suit your requirements, click the column headers
For example, to sort by Description, simply click the Description column header
Click it again to toggle between ascending or descending alphabetical order

7. [Find Vehicle] Smart Search
Smart Search makes light work of finding a particular individual or group of items that match certain criteria
To find a particular vehicle by its registration, simply begin typing it into the Smart Search box
With each keystroke, Vault intelligently narrows down the results to only those entries that match
We can do the same thing with any information, for example, the description

8. [Find Vehicle] Additional Smart Search Controls
Further Smart Search controls are available to filter results to only those matching specific criteria
For example, to find only items relating to a particular Category, click the blue arrow to reveal available parameters
Select Category to restrict search results to only that field, and enter the category name
Only items relating to that category are now shown

9. [Find Vehicle] Applying Multiple Smart Search Controls
More than one filter can be applied to narrow-down even further
For example, to now restrict our results to only items that have certain words in their description, click the arrow again and select Description, then begin typing those words
Now, only items matching BOTH criteria are shown

10. [Find Vehicle] Using the Filters Sidebar
Additional controls are available in the Filters sidebar
To restrict results to only those items with an expired or failed certification or maintenance status, tick the Expired/Failed Records Only check-box, then click Apply

11. [Find Vehicle] My Filters
To save time frequently performing the same search, Vault provides the ability to save search criteria using My Filters
Simply select the criteria for the filter, choose a meaningful name, and click Save
Now, performing this search is just a single click away.

12. [Find Vehicle] Hiding the Filters Sidebar
To hide the Filters Sidebar, click the back-facing arrow toward the top of the screen
Click it again to restore it

13. [Find Vehicle] Viewing Transport Item
Once the right item is found, to view the full record details, click Actions, then View, or click on the ID
