Time Management Everyone gets 24 hours each day to use as he/she chooses. The key is how to use that time wisely and productively. With so much to do and so many distractions most people try to multitask to increase their productivity. Unfortunately, multitasking has the opposite effect.

Time Management Multitasking can result in time wasted due to human content switching and apparently causing more errors due to insufficient attention.

Time Management When students text during a class, talk on a phone while writing, or carry on a conversation while checking , they make 50% more errors and it takes twice as long to do things. When people multitask, what they’re really doing is rapidly switching back and forth between tasks, and each time they switch, no matter how quickly that switch takes place, there is a cost associated with it.

Time Management A recent study from the University of California that was reported in the Wall Street Journal, underscores why people aren’t very good at multitasking – our brains are wired for selective attention and can focus on only one thing at a time.
