This tool is designed to support volunteers and deployers within paddlesport clubs fulfil their legal duties by assessing the DBS Check requirements for staff and volunteers in line with the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 and the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975

3. Understanding the different options
A DBS Enhanced Check is a record of all warnings, reprimands, cautions and convictions from local and national police records. Information may also be disclosed at the discretion of the Chief Police Officer if that information is deemed relevant to the role the individual is applying for.
A DBS Barred Check is a legal requirement for all individuals applying to work in Regulated Activity. This check will show whether an individual is barred from working with children or adults at risk. It can only be applied for if the person is in regulated activity.

For the purposes of this tool you will be asked a series of questions about the type of activity that you undertake for your organisation.
This process should be completed for each role that you hold.
