Notes: Types of Cells
2
an organelle in a cell that holds and protects the cell's DNA
By how DNA is stored in a cell A thin covering of tissue like skin that gives an organelle structure and keeps contents within Cells whose DNA is protected in a nucleus, are more complex, & contain organelles. Mostly multicellular organisms. Cells where DNA floats in the cytoplasm, simpler, & have no organelles. These make up the unicellular organisms Cell Nucleus How cells are classified into 2 groups Membrane Eukaryote Cell Prokaryote Cell
3
The structures within the cytoplasm of a cell that performs different functions for a cell
Bacteria (single celled) Mostly multicellular organisms like animals, plants, fungus, etc. 6. Organelle 7. Example of prokaryote organisms 8. Example of eukaryote organisms
