2. WHAT IS STREET WATCH??
A scheme that is run BY the community FOR the community …. Police ARE the public, the public ARE the police
Involves voluntary residents wearing high visibility jackets and walking/patrolling the roads and streets of their choice in pairs. It enables the residents to be seen and to engage in their local community. This is all about being part of the community, providing a presence and to be a point of contact for the residents.

Hold a meeting with your NHW co-ordinators/ward panel/ residents
Identify volunteers

Induction
