Figure 1 Sequence of the normal and CA II (−) alleles and chimeric RNA/DNA oligonucleotide. The site of mutation is underlined. The chimeric oligonucleotide contains 25 homologous DNA residues identical to normal allele and only one bp different from CA II (−) allele. The antisense strand contains five core DNA residues that is flanked by 10 2′-O-methyl RNA residues at each side. A double-hairpin configuration is also included.
