You will need the following information: Your NEEShub login and password Your project number A local directory - If this is the first time you are connecting to a project, this should be an empty directory. PEN will make a local copy of the warehouse directory structure for the project in this directory.
4
Enter your NEEShub login and password
5
Select your project from the list OR Enter the project number manually Click the Change button, enter your local directory, and click the Open button.
7
Project directories and files File info and file import tabs

PEN uses color coding to indicate file status BLACK – the file/directory resides both on your local computer and in the warehouse BLUE – the file/directory is on your local computer but not in the warehouse. Upload a blue file to make it turn black Grey - the file/directory is in the warehouse but not on your local computer. Download the file to make it turn black Red - the file/directory resides both on your local computer and in the warehouse but they have different checksums. The files may be different. If you forget….
9
If a file is grey, you can download it by right-clicking on the filename and selecting Download If a directory contains grey files, you can download all of the files by performing the download at the directory level The same can be done at a higher level. A project-level download is shown below. This will download all of the files for the entire project.
10
Downloaded files will turn black The files are copied to the local directory
11
At the project level, you can create an experiment At the experiment level, you can create a trial At the trial level, you can create a repetition
12
Any trials, experiments, or repetitions that you make are made locally and will need to be uploaded to the project warehouse Newly made experiment
13
You can delete it You can even delete files from the warehouse
14
A directory can only be deleted from the warehouse if it contains NO files. Contains files, cannot be deleted Does not contain files, can be deleted
15
Select the files you want to import Select the directory to which you want to import the files Click the Import button When you import files, they are copied from their current location to the local directory on your computer
16
The files can be uploaded individually OR Files can be uploaded in bulk at the directory level
17
Uploaded files will turn black If the uploaded file turns red instead of black, make sure a local checksum is being performed prior to upload under the Tools/Preferences menu Checksumming a red file will make it turn black provided the local file matches the file in the Project Warehouse
18
You cannot upload the subdirectory of a directory that does not exist in the Project Warehouse. You must upload a directory structure at its highest level
19
Use the Info tab to edit basic file or directory information
20
Tool associations can now be done in PEN
