73rd ANNUAL MEETING of the Subtropical Agriculture and Environments Society Venue: South Texas College, 400 N. Border, Weslaco, TX 78596 F Building, Student Activities and Cafeteria Date: February 8, Time: 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM There will be a poster session during the annual meeting on February 8th, 2019. The SAE society cordially invite the research community including scientists, professors, post-docs, and both undergraduate and graduate students to submit the abstracts. Abstracts of the presentations and posters will be published in the Subtropical Agriculture and Environments Journal ( Students who submit posters will be part of a competition with cash prizes for the top 3 undergraduate and graduates. Student oral presentations: After lunch, students may present a 3-minute (oral) communication. For the oral presentation, students can only use ONE single PowerPoint slide. This PowerPoint slide has to be submitted by Feb 7, 2019. If you would like to present a poster to be considered for competition, please submit an abstract by January 26, 2019 Submission link is: Call for Abstracts Early registration by Jan 26 (Discounted fee). $30 Students, $65 Individual. Title lines: Brief but informative title, authors’ names and affiliations. Use a simple sans serif-face font such as Arial. Lettering for the title should be at least 1 inch; the authors’ names and affiliations may be somewhat smaller. Content: Please use tables and figures and limit verbiage; research details can be provided in discussions with interested parties; lettering for text and illustrations should be legible from a short distance. Display: A poster board (~36”Wx48”L) will be provided for mounting each poster. For further information about the poster session, contact: Veronica indicate ABSTRACT in the subject line.
