3. Planning Character & Voice:
Are you going to write in the first or third person?
If you write in the first person, are you the protagonist or an observer?
Avoid too many characters as this can make it complicated.
Structure:
Remember to follow a plot structure i.e. beginning – middle – end or following a particular journey
If you’re only writing the opening then make sure you include something interesting or dramatic to make the reader want to find out more.
Language & Style:
Which tense will you write in? Remain consistent.
Write in paragraphs
Vary syntax and punctuation.
Include AFOREST/senses.
