Questions/comments for EVS1546-A03 (CN)
The objective of this presentation is unclear; is it a proposal for additional details in the measurement method or is it a proposal for expansion of the scope to include requirements for charging conditions? Slide 2 – Hazardous voltages only need to be considered when there is a risk of exposure to persons in the event of a single failure condition. What is the failure condition considered for the statement: “The Total Energy (TEx) of unidirectional single impulse currents in the form of rectangular and sinusoidal impulses or capacitor discharges from high voltage electrical components shall be less than 0.2 J; the energy stored in the Y-capacitors (TEy1, TEy2) shall also be less than 0.2J” ? Comments: Propose to use the following statement to clarify the requirement: “The accessible stored energy in the y-caps (including parasitic elements) between each DC line/conductor and vehicle chassis/exposed conductive part shall never exceed 0.2J under single fault conditions, taking the y-caps, if any, in any off-board charger into account.”
