3.2 DRIVING TIMES - update S17/ 33 2016 Consultation on Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 was launched in autumn 2016. Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL amending Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 as regards on minimum requirements on maximum daily and weekly driving times, minimum breaks and daily and weekly rest periods and Regulation (EU) 165/2014 as regards positioning by means of tachographs The European Commission has launched a review of the social legislation in road transport regarding: Regulation 561/2006 on driving times, breaks and rest periods, Directive 2002/15/EC on the working time of road transport ‘mobile’ workers, and Directive 2006/22/EC on controlling compliance with the provisions on driving times, breaks and rest periods which could take to a revision of Regulation 561/2006. This proposal does not contain an explicit proposal for a derogation and therefore no indication of a planned facilitation for the transport of "building materials". However, a general topic is shown and cited, which also leads to the problems mentioned in the delivery of building materials. 10. February 2009
