3. Soliloquy
A character speaks to himself or herself, relating thoughts or feelings to the audience. Other characters are not aware of what is being said.

4. Aside
a remark by a character in a play that is intended to be heard by the audience but unheard by the other characters in the play.

5. Monologue a long speech by one actor in a play.
Interior – externalizing thoughts
Dramatic – one character speaking to another

6. Dramatic Irony
When the audience knows something a character does not.

7. Dialogue
lines spoken by a character, especially a conversation between two characters

8. Stage Directions
part of the printed text in a play that indicates actions or activity for the actors to engage in. 

9. Paradox
Using contradiction in a manner that oddly makes sense on a deeper level.

10. Pun A play on two words similar in sound but different in meaning.
