3. 3 MISSION STATEMENT To augment regular ROTC courses with quality English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) training, preparing cadets whose first language is Spanish to meet the Army English language standards in order to attend Leadership Training Camp, to contract, to attend National Advanced Leadership Camp, and to be commissioned. To prepare cadets to compete and perform satisfactorily in an environment where English is the medium of instruction. To produce fully bilingual second lieutenants for service in the United States Army.
