3. What is wrong with current energy sources? 4. How does it work? Fractionally distillated air is used to obtain nitrogen and Carbondioxide from the atmosphere. The Nitrogen is reacted with lithium to form lithium nitride. Lithium Nitride reacts with Carbondioxide to form Carbon Nitride and Lithium Oxide in a highly exothermic reaction. This releases heat capable of raising temperatures up to 1000 o C. All of this heat energy is converted to electrical energy through a thermo electrical generator. The Lithium Oxide is electrolyzed to give back the lithium to be reused. The Oxygen from this is passed into a hydrogen fuel cell, giving water as the only waste product and producing even more energy. Carbon nitride can have graphitic properties; hence Graphene can be synthesized from it, capable of producing revolutionary circuits, etc.
