2. Copying and pasting
To copy you can right click on whatever you have highlighted you highlight by clicking and dragging the left button on the mouse.
A quicker way is to press ctrl c and control v to cut then paste.
To cut right click to cut.
You can use this to copy, cut and paste files or click and drag into the folders you want and click and drag folders.

To use print screen, click ctrl and print screen. After that click ctrl V. ALT + print screen will only click active window.

To set up your printer on your computer, ctrl panel then click printer. Right click on the printer you want to use and click default
Or use search feature on Windows 7 and type printers and right click into properties

5. File Compression
To compress files we must download software called winzip. This makes the file smaller then right click on file and click add to winzip.
You can also compress drives on your computer to release more space but this can corrupt some data and delete other data so be careful.

6. Finding files
To search for files click start, search, files and folders then input name of the file e.g Chris Ward..
Wildcards are ways of finding files when names are unknown *.doc *.mdb *.xls-excel, a*-files beginning with a.
In search advance options you can find files by the date they were changed, by the type of file they are, size etc.

7. General tips on managing files
You should click the system icon to view operating system name.
To add new keyboard language you should click the regional and language setting icon in control pad.
To create desktop shortcut for an app right click app(e.g moviemk.exe) and create on desktop
The network drive not RAM memory is used to store files permanently. Ram is for short term working memory use while the computer is on.

8. A benefit of online storage is you can access your files from any internet connection. One drive, google drive, Dropbox and iCloud
Click access files. The are the pink ones with a key ending in .mdb
To change the content of a file click the read only checkbox.
To copy the selected program file click the edit menu for e.g
