5. A Feast
of Trumpets
Joh 10:22 ¶ At that time the Feast of the Dedication took place at Jerusalem; 23 it was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple in the portico of Solomon.

There are two feasts in the bible that are missing from the origina list – Purim and Dedication.

Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.

Le 23:24 "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 'You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD.'“
Nu 29:1 ¶ 'Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.

2 'You shall offer a burnt offering as a soothing aroma to the LORD: one bull, one ram, and seven male lambs one year old without defect;
3 also their grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah for the bull, two-tenths for the ram,

5 'Offer one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you,

CAREFUL – 1 Maccabees is an excellent history, but it does not claim to be inspired, nor was it ever considered inspired. It weas likely written much closer to the event than Josephus, and so should be seen as a better record of the events. This passage is taken from the King James Version Apocrypha

It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places. 32 "It is to be a sabbath of complete rest to you, and you shall humble your souls; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening until evening you shall keep your sabbath."

15. The Feast of Tabernacles
'You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.' Leviticus 23:42

Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me Peter 1:13-14

Trumpets – the Lord will soon return Tabernacles – this life is temporary Atonement – only the blood of Christ removes sin
1 Cor. 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
Ge 6:16 "You shall make a window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from the top; and set the door of the ark in the side of it;
2Pe 1:19 ¶ So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place

Trumpets – the Lord will soon return Suddenly and known by all Tabernacles – this life is temporary We will only dwell within a short time Atonement – only the blood of Christ removes sin Are we prepared for that moment?

21. The Tabernacle is Shed
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed Corinthians 15:52

22. Is the Atonement in Place?
And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God. For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people Leviticus 23:28
