2. Tropical rainfall

3. Temperate deciduous
The temperate deciduous forest is four distinct seasons. The temperature is on Averge 50 f a year and 6 month growing season. It rains between 30 and 60 inches per year. The common plants are: trees, ash, oak, maple, beech, hickory, elm, linden, and sweet gum. The common animals are: black bear, deer, songbirds, rat snake, gray squirrel, chipmunk, opossum, skunk, mountain lion, and bobcat.

4. Taiga
Taiga have a long, cold winters and short, warm summers. The temperature is Extremes between -90 to 70; It rains between inches a year. The common plants are: conifers, including spruce, fir, pine and larch. The common Animals are: Moose, fur-bearing, mammals and other animals.

5. Tundras
Tundra have a belt around the north pole with permafrost –permanently frozen ground. The temperature is on average 18 f. It rains less than five inches a year. The common plants are: lynches, mosses, sedges, perennial forbs, and dwarfed shrubs. The common animals are: polar bears, caribou, musk ox, lemming, arctic hare, arctic fox, migrating birds.

Temperate rain forest are cool and moist. The temperature is 40 to 80 f. It rains more than 100 inches a year. The common plants are: conifers, ferns, mosses, wildflowers, epiphytes, and lichens. The common animals are: beaver, raccoon, black bear, elk.

7. Temperate Grassland
The temperate Grassland are also called prairies, plains, pampas, steppes, or veld. The temperature is -40 to 70 f. It rains inches a year. The common plants are: perennial grasses and perennial forbs. The common animals are: bison, pronghorn, gopher, prairie dog, coyote, monarch, butterfly, bumblebee.

8. Tropical Grassland
The tropical grassland is also called savannah: hot all year with a wet season and a dry season. The temperature is between 10 and 30 inches a year. The common plants are: trees; or an open shrub layer. The common animals are: zebra, rhino, giraffe, hyena, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, and wild dog.

The desert is dry: hot during the day, cold at night. The temperature is between 40 to 100 f highly variable. It rains less than 10 inches a year. The common plants are: shrubs, cacti, aloe, and yucea. The common animals are: fox, rat, mouse, bat, vulture, dingo, cactus wren.

10. Chaparral
The chaparral is also called Mediterranean climate short, wet winters and long, dry summers. The temperature is between 37 to 91 f. It rains between 15 and 40 inches a year. The common plants are: shrubs, grasses, drought-resistant trees. The common animals are: jackrabbit, aardwolf, fox, mountain lion, wild goat.
