2 Boss Tweed William M. Tweed was the political boss of New York City in the late 19th century. He led the Democratic political machine from his headquarters at Tammany Hall.

3 Political Corruption He controlled politics by controlling the polling places where people voted. And using patronage and graft to build his political machine.

4 $13 Million! Who is to Blame!
The best example of corruption and graft was the NYC Court House – Pre-construction estimated cost was $250,000 Final cost… $13 Million!
